I've been wanting a dog for a while, but I put it off for financial considerations. My long running joke has been that I just want someone to cuddle and watch movies with... I either need a boyfriend or a dog.

Thursday night I come home and see a lump sitting in the side yard. There, huddled in the rain is the waggiest dog ever... lookin all sad and pathetic. He followed me onto the porch, I dried him off and after noticing how starved he looked (you could see his ribs) I gave him some cat food (all I had, I've got him on dog food now) and water.

Next Morning he's still camped out on my front porch and has been there ever since. I've talked to my Post-woman and other locals to try to find his family, but with no luck.

Post-Lady wants me to keep him and so do I, but I'm unwilling to bring him into the house until I can get him checked out by a vet and I can't keep him unless I can get him fixed and shots.

I can't belive I'm asking this, but this has come a a really bad time of the year for me financially and if anyone out there is LJ-Land can spare a few bucks for vet bills it would help tremendously. I think I can get a deal from Animal Charities, but this just has me massively over stressed right now.
