Thoughts of LJ

I read you every day and never post a word. Why?

As fewer and fewer of my old friends post I link about why I pass this place very day without comment and the sad truth comes home. Guilt. I feel guilty for any bit of writing that doesn't feed a purpose - work, classes, whatever.

It seems wrong to put something I enjoy in such a narrow box. Should I only write what feeds an image I try to create? Should I devote all my words to a product I try to sell? Should I create only for utility and never for joy?

I stopped posting a few years ago when I decided I didn't want to be a misery blog. My life sucks, I want to die, boo hoo hoo. For a bit I had nothing else to say. So I said nothing.

I got out of the habit, I suppose. I lost the pattern and focused on other things and nothing. Boo hoo hoo I suppose, but nonetheless....

This week has me chained to my desk, writing on Chakras and panicking.

I miss you.

I promise I'll write soon....

Man did you let your hair grow or what?

It really has been a long time hasn't it. I miss you so much!!!!! If I end up taking the summer off after graduation I'm going to have to put Youngstown on my list of places to visit.

I know, the hair surprises everyone, especially anyone who didn't know me the first time it was long, back in my early twenties.

I miss you too! Come visit anytime... call first to I have time to clean and pretend to not be a crazy person.

You can pretend to not be a crazy person? I'll have to take a few lessons from you.

When you write, I'll read.

Was listening to a radio show called "focus on the family." That kind of "pro-family" anti-gay rights gay-marriage-is-the-apocalypse rhetoric makes me scared to come out of the closet.

Thanks.

Those people are all crazy.

I've got a job offer to learn wedding photography from the studio I do photo restoration for and I'm not sure I want to do it. I'm so disgusted by how overblown weddings have become and how vitriolic the debate over gay marriage has become that I really don't want to get involved in the industry.

That's a really nice pic, btw. Hope your seminar goes well.
